I greatly enjoyed my time as a young Scout and decided early on that I would like to achieve the ultimate rank of Eagle.
How has your scouting experience influenced your life, changed your outlook, made you who you are, and guided you in what you want to do in the future. Scouts who have been successful in scouting will find that this success has spread to other areas of their life. This is especially true of Eagle candidates, as their life will demonstrate the Scout Oath and Law in everything they do.
This is your moment to tell the Board of Review what you do outside Scouting. List all awards and honors you have achieved in life. Remember your good turn daily?
These may be a medal, plaque, or certificate; they could also be a different type of honor.
An example may be a letter from a principal or volunteer organization recognizing your contributions, as well as an article about you in the newspaper. Include any leadership or mentoring positions in your school, religious institution, camp, community or other organizations.
Along with this statement, you could include a copy of your scouting activity report from the Advancement Chair of your Troop, showing all Merit Badges you have earned, as well as partially completed ones. It will also show any special training or activities you have participated in as a scout.
If your Advancement Chair does not have this information, do your best to recreate it and include it with the statement. This should be in your own words and reflect an honest effort.

An important part of becoming an Eagle Scout is writing a personal statement of your goals, ambitions and leadership skills.
Your statement has to be included with your application to the Eagle Scout board of review.
